I want my Panama!—A Warning Shot! Or Coincidence? While the world watches Santorini in Greece, waiting for 'The Big One' after two weeks of seismic warnings, a powerful, shallow earthquake of 7.6 magnitude rocks the Cayman Islands very close to Panama.

While the world watches Santorini in Greece, waiting for 'The Big One' after two weeks of seismic warnings, a powerful, shallow earthquake of 7.6 magnitude has rocked the Cayman Islands this afternoon. It is the largest earthquake to hit our planet since a magnitude 7.7 struck the Loyalty Islands in May 2023 more than 20 months ago. The powerful quake is only the 6th to occur in this region in the last 25 years, see the USGS map above.

In my line of work, I am often told "Fact is stranger than fiction," or, "Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!" You may chuckle, however, the devil is often in the details. Let me explain.

It has long been known, that the might of the US Military Industrial-Complex has the technology to cause earthquakes in different areas of the world. Without using the actual word 'earthquake,' Lyndon Johnson told the world of his plans in a speech to a Texan University back in the late 50s.  

"Our very future depended on being the ones who first seized ownership of space." “Control of space means control of the world.”

“From space, the masters of infinity would have the power to control the earth’s weather, to cause drought and flood, to change the tides and raise the levels of the sea, to divert the gulf stream and change temperate climates to frigid.”

Deja-Vu— A demented Lyndon Johnson demanded the "WHOLE WORLD!" In 2025, Trump is demanding just Gaza, Greenland, the Panama Canal, and Canada. The US claims to have the technology, they don't care, they will take what they want, why not? 

The massive quake's epicentre was just 500± miles from the Panama Canal.

We are only 40 days into 2025 and have already witnessed some incredible darkness emitting from so-called world leaders, including the current US administration. (Don't get me wrong, Biden was a hazardous man too) My wife just asked me what I was writing, I told her they could be using earthquakes as a weapon: "My goodness, I don't want to know any more!" She said and walked away quickly. However, the sad truth is the mighty military-industrial complex has technology and weapons that ordinary citizens cannot even comprehend, and not just the Americans but the Chinese and Russians too! This is the kind of darkness we are living in and most don't even realise, they just go on, day in and day out doing their mundane things, clueless of what is really happening around them.

Well, there you have it, my opinion for what it's worth. I'm probably wrong of course, however, my instinct is not wrong, we are living in a world of unseen darkness. Our world changed somewhere around January 2020 I guess and has been slipping into a quagmire of blackness ever since. Luckily, Jesus is there for anyone who wants Him, all you have to do is ask Him into your life, and He will do the rest. It's that easy folks. Stay safe.

Tectonic Summary 

According to USGS, the February 8, 2025, M7.6 earthquake southwest of the Cayman Islands occurred due to strike-slip faulting in the shallow crust near the boundary between the North American and Caribbean plates. Focal mechanism solutions indicate that rupture occurred on a steeply dipping structure striking either west-northwest (right-lateral), or west-southwest (left-lateral). At the location of this earthquake, the North American plate moves to the west-southwest concerning the Caribbean plate at a rate of approximately ~20 mm/yr.

Local to the February 8, 2025 earthquake, this motion is predominantly accommodated along the Swan Islands transform fault, a left-lateral structure. The location, depth and focal mechanism solution of today’s earthquake are consistent with rupture occurring along this plate boundary structure, or on a nearby and closely related fault. While commonly plotted as points on maps, earthquakes of this size are more appropriately described as slip over a larger fault area. Strike-slip-faulting events of the size of the February 8, 2025, earthquake are typically about 140x20 km (length x width). Large earthquakes at this location of the plate boundary are not unexpected. Ten M6 or larger earthquakes have occurred within 250 km of the February 8, 2025 earthquake over the preceding century. Notably, on January 10, 2018, an M7.5 earthquake occurred nearby with a similar mechanism. This 2018 earthquake caused some damage and a small tsunami. Luckily, the remote location of these earthquakes limits the potential for significant damage due to shaking.
