The 4th and 5th major quakes of 2021 rocked the Kermadec Islands and Vanuatu in the South Pacific: All five major quakes this year have happened around the Pacific Ring Of Fire as well as more than 20 volcanoes erupting or showing activity there too

USGS, the first five major quakes of 2021 have all been around the Pacific Ring 

2021 has the Pacific Ring Of Fire shaking! Two more major quakes, mag 6 or higher have struck the area through the night. A powerful magnitude 6.3 shook the Kermadec Islands, north of New Zealand, the second major quake to strike the islands in the last 48 hours and a magnitude 6.1 rocked Vanuatu in the South Pacific earlier in the night.

The two quakes bring the total of major quakes, mag 6 or higher to 5 in the early days of 2021 which is a very impressive start to the year.

While the quake activity is impressive, well so the volcanic activity with more than 20 volcanoes erupting or showing activity around the Ring Of Fire.
