According to Wikipedia, The Nordic Gene Bank has, since 1984, stored backup Nordic plant germplasm via frozen seeds in an abandoned coal mine at Svalbard. In January 2008, the Nordic Gene Bank merged with two other Nordic conservation groups to form NordGen. The Svalbard Global Seed Vault officially opened on 26 February 2008 and now houses more than 20 million seeds from around the world.

Svalbard might be the most famous seed bank in the world and is ironically at the moment under threat as the permafrost in and around the vault has begun to defrost due to climate change, however, it remains the figurehead of a mission to protect the huge diversity of plant life on Earth. But it is just one of a global network of 1700, spread all across the world, each of them protecting and securing the biodiversity of the countries they call home. Full story

There are also many hidden cities buried underground, as well as military bunkers. The US NORAD Alternate Command is buried in the Cheyenne Mountain.  In early 2015, Admiral William E. Gortney, commander of NORAD and NORTHCOM, announced a $700 million contract with Raytheon to move systems into the complex to shield it from an electromagnetic pulse attack. According to Adm. Gortney, "because of the very nature of the way that Cheyenne Mountain's built, it's EMP-hardened. And so, there's a lot of movement to put capability into Cheyenne Mountain and to be able to communicate in there." China and Russia are said to have giant military and none military facilities underground.

It's no secret that the rich and even the not so rich have been investing heavily in doomsday bunkers recently and not just in the US, prepping has become a global phenomenon. The question is "why?"

Near Miss: A sign from Heaven... 2012 the year the world was supposed to end!

If an asteroid big enough to knock modern civilization back to the 18th century appeared out of deep space and buzzed the Earth-Moon system, the near-miss would be instant worldwide headline news. Eight years ago, Earth experienced a close shave just as perilous, but most newspapers and the tv media didn't mention it. The "impactor" was an extreme solar storm, the most powerful in as much as 150+ years. "If it had hit, we would still be picking up the pieces," says Daniel Baker of the University of Colorado.

The powerful coronal mass ejection (CME) tore through Earth's orbit on July 23, 2012. Fortunately, Earth wasn't there. Instead, the storm cloud hit the STEREO-A spacecraft. "I have come away from our recent studies more convinced than ever that Earth and its inhabitants were incredibly fortunate that the 2012 eruption happened when it did," says Baker. "If the eruption had occurred only one week earlier, Earth would have been in the line of fire and would have suffered insurmountable damage to its electronic infrastructure.

Extreme solar storms pose a threat to all forms of high-technology. They begin with an explosion--a "solar flare"—in the magnetic canopy of a sunspot. X-rays and extreme UV radiation reach Earth at light speed, ionizing the upper layers of our atmosphere; side-effects of this "solar EMP" include radio blackouts and GPS navigation errors. Minutes to hours later, the energetic particles arrive. Moving only slightly slower than light itself, electrons and protons accelerated by the blast can electrify satellites and damage their electronics. Then come the CMEs, billion-ton clouds of magnetized plasma that take a day or more to cross the Sun-Earth divide. Analysts believe that a direct hit by an extreme CME such as the one that missed Earth in July 2012 could cause widespread power blackouts, disabling everything that plugs into a wall socket. Most people wouldn't even be able to flush their toilet because urban water supplies largely rely on electric pumps. Full story

To make matters worse, geologists have been expressing concerns about the magnetic field that shields Earth from deadly solar radiation in 2019, when the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was forced to update its World Magnetic Model a year early after finding that the magnetic north pole was rapidly moving out of the Canadian Arctic and toward Siberia.

The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration is tracking an immense, growing, and slowly splitting "dent" in the Earth's Magnetic field. The area, known as the South Atlantic Anomaly, is situated in the southern hemisphere between South America and the southern Atlantic Ocean off the coast of southwestern Africa. According to recent NASA monitoring and modelling, the area is expanding westward and becoming weaker and expected to completely split into two separate cells, each spanning thousands of kilometres across, very soon. Full story

A coronal mass ejection mentioned in the Bible?

In Revelation 8:7 John appears to describe a coronal mass ejection; The first angel sounded and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 

If a massive coronal mass ejection happened today like the one in 2012 facing the Earth, within 30 minutes, the flares would reach Earth’s magnetosphere and trigger a geomagnetic storm. According to Brent Miller the religious academic, Plasma leaving the sun would be 2 million deg F, by the time the ejection reached Earth the plasma would be liquid fire at 6,000 deg F. The plasma would cause a pressure wave which would push through the outer atmosphere which is minus 150 deg F into the stratosphere freezing all the water crystals into ice causing ice and hale, the heat would follow causing hundreds of aeroplanes in the air at the time to crash. A Pole Shift?

Even worse than a coronal mass ejection, an event like this, also mentioned in the Bible would most probably wipe 99.9% of mankind.

Isaiah 24:19. The earth is utterly broken apart, the earth is split open, the earth is shaken violently. 20 The earth staggers like a drunkard and sways like a shack. Earth’s rebellion weighs it down, and it falls, never to rise again.

Revelation 6:12. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

I have often wondered when reading the Bible about the great earthquake which is prophesied to come before the Great Day Of The Lord. The earthquake is so great it will move every mountain and every island from its place. Our sun will become as black as sackcloth, the moon will turn blood red and the stars of the heavens will fall to earth and the heaven will depart as a scroll being rolled up. The Kings of the earth, high officials, military commanders and everyone else to hide in caves, saying to the mountains and to the rocks.

This earthquake is mentioned many times in the Bible and I always pondered as to the size of such an earthquake, what force could produce something like this? What force could move every mountain and every island on our planet?

An explanation found, however, not yet physically found?

Months ago, I stumbled on a book called The Adam and Eve Story by Chan Thomas, I couldn't put the book down it was brilliant. In the book, Mr Thomas explains in specific detail, a cataclysmic event which describes the great earthquake in the Bible. But, believe me, reading the book is NOT for the faint-hearted.

Mr Thomas book begins: With a rumble so low to be inaudible, growing throbbing, then fuming into a roar, the earthquake starts...only it's not like any other earthquake in recorded history.

In California, the mountains shake like ferns in a breeze, The mighty Pacific rears back and piles up into a mountain of seawater two miles high, then starts its race eastward.

With the force of a thousand armies the wind attacks, ripping, shredding everything in its supersonic bombardment. The unbelievable mountain of Pacific seawater follows the wind eastward, burying Los Angeles and San Fransisco as if they were grains of sand.

Nothing but nothing can stop the relentless, overwhelming onslaught of water and wind.

Across the continent, the thousand mph wind wreaks its hell its unholy vengeance everywhere. Every living thing is ripped into shreds while being blown across the countryside and more earthquakes leave nowhere untouched.  In many places, the earth's molten sublayer breaks through and spread a sea of white-hot liquid fire to add to the holocaust. Within three hours the fantastic wall of seawater moves across the continent, burying the wind ravage land under two miles of seething water. coast to coast.

In a fraction of a day, all vestiges of civilisation have gone and the great cities of the U.S. are nothing more than legends. Barely a stone is left where earlier millions had walked.

North America is not alone, Central America suffers the same cannonade, wind, earth-fire and inundation.

South America finds the Andes not high enough to stop the cataclysmic pounded out by nature in her berserk rage. In less than a day Ecuador, Peru and Western Brasil are shaken madly by the devastating earthquake. The Andes are piled higher and higher by the Pacific's supersonic onslaught as it surges itself over the mountains. The entire continent is burned by molten-earth fire, buried under cubic miles of violent seas and then turned into a freezing hell.  Everything freezes, man, beast, plant and mud are all rock hard in less than four hours.

Europe can't escape the onslaught, the raging Atlantic piles higher and higher on its self following the screeching wind eastward. The mighty Alps, Pyrenees and Urals are shaken then heaved even higher when the wall of water strikes.

 Is this the great earthquake mentioned in the Bible?

The book goes on to describe what happens to the rest of the world as the supersonic wind and wall of water hits the rest of the planet...

But what could cause a Pole Shift?

Back in 1972, NASA launched the space probe Pioneer 10, its main goal was to search for a mysterious 10th planet in our Solar System or just beyond. This search led NASA to make a surprising press release 20 years later.

In March 1992 NASA released a press interview claiming, "unexplained deviations in orbits of Uranus and Neptune points to a large outer solar system body 4 to 8 Earth masses on a highly tilted orbit,  beyond 7 billion miles from the sun. In the past few decades, astronomers have joined the search, looking for another planet in our solar system. They named the elusive object, Planet X, meaning both unknown and 10. "Astronomers are so sure of the 10th planet they think there is nothing left to do but to name it." Ray T. Reynolds, NASA (NASA press release, 1992).

They have named it but never found it.

But we have to go back even earlier to try and understand just what NASA was looking for. Sixty years ago, on April 1, 1960, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched TIROS-1, the world’s first successful meteorological satellite. It was a great success for the fledgeling NASA which had been formed in October 1958 after the former Soviet Union launched Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite to be successfully placed in orbit around Earth on October 4, 1957, which, resulted in the space race between the USA and the Soviet Union. That is the official story, however, the true story is shrouded in intrigue and mystery and wonder.

What made our Sun go ballistic during Christmas 1957?

Two months after Sputnik 1 was launched an event on our Sun occurred which left the science community to this day baffled. The USSR launched Sputnik 1, their first artificial satellite in space on October 1957, followed by the US with Explorer 1, on January 31, 1958, the first satellite launched by the United States. However, a month earlier, something happened on our Sun on the 24th and 25th of December 1957 which defies logic, defies physics and science to this day. Our Sun went crazily ballistic. The story begins with a report from SAO/NASA data system (ADS). Thomas Cragg wrote: 

During 1957, observations of the Sun were made at Mount Wilson Observatory in Washington on 310 days of that year. Not since 1941 have solar observations been possible on as few days in one year as in 1957 because of cloud cover. 

The total number of sunspot groups observed at Mount Wilson in 1957 was 855, the largest number ever observed in one year. The previous record was 633 in 1947.

SAO/NASA data system (ADS) claimed, "without question, we are witnessing the greatest sunspot activity ever recorded." (even to this day, added by G Walton). SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS).

The period described above was solar cycle 19, the nineteenth solar cycle since 1755 when extensive recording of solar sunspot activity began. Solar cycle 19 lasted 10.5 years, beginning in April 1954 and ending in October 1964. However, The number of sunspots witnessed on the Sun during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1957 was an amazing and unprecedented (503), which alarmed scientists so much at the time, that an International Geophysical Year was declared at the peak of this solar cycle to bring the Russian and US scientists onto the same page after the cold-war silence to find out what could have caused the solar activity.

Curiously, President Eisenhower went on to authorise the opening of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in July 1958. The Space Race Had Began. Sputnik 1 was launched on October 4, 1957, (just two months before our Sun went ballistic,) beating the United States and stunning people all over the world. In 1958, during the Explorer 1 launch,  NASA first observed that changes in the solar orbit of the earth, along with alterations to the earth’s axial tilt, suggested solar activity was responsible fluctuations in our planet's weather. In the year 2000, NASA did publish information on its Earth Observatory website about the Milankovitch Climate Theory, revealing that the planet is, in fact, changing due to extraneous factors that have absolutely nothing to do with human activity. (records show our planet began to heat up around the same time our Sun went ballistic in 1957) But this information has yet to go mainstream, see the report on Earth Observatory Coincidently, Milankovitch died in 1958. The maximum sunspot number observed during the solar cycle was 503, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1957 (the highest on record). Intense red aurora displays frightened people in Europe on 11 February 1958 and were visible from many US cities as far south as the 40th parallel. This geomagnetic storm caused a radio blackout over North America. Aurora displays were visible over New York on 13 November 1960 and 1 October 1961. Could a large object close to the sun have caused this unprecedented solar activity?

Why Does NASA Think It's There?

Astronomers studying the Kuiper Belt have noticed some of the dwarf planets and other small, icy objects tend to follow orbits that cluster together. By analyzing these orbits, the Caltech team, The California Institute of Technology predicted the possibility that a large, previously undiscovered planet may be hiding far beyond Pluto. They estimate the gravity of this potential planet might explain the unusual orbits of those Kuiper objects. And of course the unexplained deviations in the orbits of Uranus and Neptune.

What is NASA's thoughts on Planet X?  

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) researchers have found mathematical evidence suggesting there may be a "Planet X" deep in the solar system. This hypothetical Neptune-sized planet orbits our Sun in a highly elongated orbit far beyond Pluto. The object, which NASA researchers have nicknamed "Planet Nine," could have a mass about 10 times that of Earth and orbit about 20 times farther from the Sun on average than Neptune. It may take between 10,000 and 20,000 Earth years to make one full orbit around the Sun. NASA

What caused the sun to go ballistic on Christmas Eve and Christmas day 1957 we will never know, however, the date is significant in many topics tearing the scientific world apart today such as the Milankovitch Climate Theory, revealing that the planet is, in fact, changing due to extraneous factors that have absolutely nothing to do with human activity, while other scientists today claim our climate is warming due to human activity and their use of co2.

Other factors though, occurred around the late 50s early 60s which are truly astounding. For instance, graphs showing natural disasters suddenly spike around 1960 and continue to rise, the same happens to major earthquakes, Tornadoes, volcano eruptions and yes the rise in global temperatures. TBW  and TBW and TBW Below is the graph from Our World In Data!

Chuck Missler wrote: "The only barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it." I have always been a huge sceptic of Planet X, the pictures and videos I have seen on the internet, you know, pictures of two suns close together, they are usually pictures of a sun-dog, (an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to one or both sides of the Sun), or lens flare and besides, if a planet was close enough to be clearly visible to the naked eye it would already be creating big problems to our own planet, wouldn't it? But wait... Our planet is behaving strange and we are suffering big problems and...These big problems have been increasing at an alarming but steady rate since just before the space race begun in 1957, coincidence? I am not sure anymore, personally, I am not so sceptical as I once was. A large planet type object approaching Earth could very well be the cause in the rise of temperatures and other natural disasters on our vulnerable planet.

Is there a clue in the Bible?

Revelation 16:17 The seventh one poured out his bowl on the air. At this a loud voice came out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying: “It has come to pass!” 18 And there were flashes of lightning and voices and thunders, and there was a great earthquake unlike any that had occurred since men came to be on the earth, so extensive and so great was the earthquake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the Great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.k 20 Also, every island fled, and mountains were not found. 21 Then great hailstones, each about the weight of a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, for the plague was unusually great. That sure could be a description of a huge planet type object passing close to Earth, of course, we don't know and hopefully, we are not here when the great earthquake arrives.
