Magnitude 6.4 quake strikes off Kuril Islands Russia: It is the 2nd major quake of October and the 90th of 2018

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck off Russia’s Pacific coast on Tuesday, about 155 km south of Severo-Kurilsk in the Kuril Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The major quake struck in an area of relentless volcanic activity.
This mornings quake is the 2nd major quake of October and the 90th of 2018.
