Here is one I almost missed, not hard to do this year, by the way, I have not seen any mention of this on the internet today!
Green alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses.
There is a low likelihood of casualties and damage.
A mag 6.0 - 100km SSE of Pangai, Tonga is the 7th major quake of October and only the 82nd major quake of an extraordinary quiet 2017.
At the same time, 108 major quakes had been registered in 2016
117 in the same period in 2015, 132 in 2014, 120 in 2013, 105 in 2012, 100 more at 182 in 2011, the year of the Fukushima disaster, and 152 in 2010.
This year will do well to reach 100 major quakes with just less than two and a half months remaining of 2017.
