Could A New Pestilence Threat Be About To Become Global? A new sexually transmissible strain of the monkeypox virus is an emergency for Africa and the entire globe (WHO chief) Scientists are concerned about how fast a new variant of the disease is spreading!

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the mpox outbreak in parts of Africa a public health emergency of international concern. The highly contagious disease - formerly known as monkeypox - has killed at least 450 people during an initial outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has now spread across parts of central and east Africa. It has shown up in other parts of the world, including Europe and Indo-Pakistan—Scientists are concerned about how fast a new variant of the disease is spreading and its high fatality rate.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the potential for further spread within Africa and beyond "is very worrying". Committee Chair Professor Dimie Ogoina noted, “The current upsurge of mpox in parts of Africa, along with the spread of a new sexually transmissible strain of the monkeypox virus, is an emergency for Africa and the entire globe.

In Sweden, the first confirmed case of the new Mpox variant, Clade I, outside the African continent, according to Swedish government reports. Swedish Minister for Social Affairs, Jakob Forssmed, announced this during a press conference broadcast on Swedish television. The case was detected in the Stockholm region. The infected person had previously been in Africa. According to Olivia Wigzell from the Swedish Public Health Agency, there is no risk that this case will affect the broader population.

The number of patients diagnosed with the mpox virus in Pakistan has reached three with another suspected case awaiting confirmation. Salim Khan, the director general of health services for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. said on Friday that two more patients were detected on their arrival from the United Arab Emirates, A third patient's samples had been sent to the National Health Institute in the capital, Islamabad, for confirmation, he said, adding all three patients were being quarantined. Pakistan earlier on Thursday reported this year's first case of mpox diagnosed in a Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa citizen who recently returned home from Saudi Arabia.

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced it will begin activating precautionary health measures at land, sea, and air ports of entry following close monitoring of the epidemiological situation of the Mpox disease (monkeypox). It also announced a continued state of readiness in all quarantine departments at airports, seaports, and land crossings. According to a Thursday statement issued by the ministry, this comes after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the disease a global health emergency.

The virus has already claimed at least 450 lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is spreading across central and east Africa. The outbreak has already been detected in at least 13 countries. The disease is transmitted through close physical contact, including sexual contact, kissing, cuddling or holding hands.

Chicago fire officials said 12 people at a migrant shelter on Chicago's North Side had to be taken to the hospital Thursday. They were all transported from the shelter in the 1300 block of North Elston Avenue, in the West Town community. None of the patients have life-threatening conditions, a spokesperson for the Chicago Fire Department said. They were taken to four different hospitals. Officials did not immediately provide an exact reason for the hospitalisations further information was available.

  2. "Vaccinia virus" ... Hello! The name says it all. Why do you think it has that name that is no doubt derived from Vaccine??!!
    Answer: because it comes from vaccines just like soooo many other pestilence's do. Will people ever see this? Probably not and instead they will go rush to big pharma stores to get it injected in to themselves. It is sheer madness! Here we go again.
