Strong activity is recorded at the Klyuchevskoy volcano in Kamchatka, the world's largest and most active stratovolcano: Increased lava effusion from the summit leads to glowing avalanches on the SW flank and ash flows (pyroclastic flows) with tall ash plumes rising several kilometres.

Time-lapse of strong activity at Klyuchevskoy volcano in Kamchatka, the world's largest and most active stratovolcano, today 24 Jan 2021: increased lava effusion from the summit leads to glowing avalanches on the SW flank that trigger massive block and ash flows (pyroclastic flows) with tall ash plumes rising several kilometres.

Kamchatka's activity continues the impressive start to 2021 regarding volcanic and seismic activity, so far 2021 has recorded 12 major quakes, the highest number at this date since 2009 at this precise moment 43 volcanoes around the world are erupting or showing signs of activity, with 40 of them around the Pacific Ring Of Fire.
