In the last 24 hours, another 1,400 quakes of all magnitudes rumbled in Southern California bringing the total to more than 6,000 in the last 7 days and leaving the residents in the area wondering just when will the big one come.
In the days after the mag 7, aftershocks have been occurring every 2 minutes.

According to CNN, The large crack extends some distance from an area that apparently held water before.
The erosion patterns on the desert sand indicate that some of that water was sucked out.
